After Christmas you can enjoy winter wonderland with Polar Night, Blue Moments and Frost in January and February. Spring Winter is sunny and bright, from late February until the beginning of April. It is best time for outdoor activities with children.

Spring Winter is sunny and bright, from late February until the beginning of April. Best time for cross country skiing, kick sledding and enjoying the snow, snow crust and outdoor activities with children.
During April and May the snow starts to melt and departure of the ice is exciting and a subject to betting contest every year.

In September nature begins to prepare for Winter. Beautiful Autumn Colors makes the walks in the nature extra special. Evenings and nights starts to be dark enough for the hunt of Northern Lights. First snow fall appears usually during October or November.

Before moving to Lapland we lived in Helsinki. This was our home and neighbourhood in Wooden-Vallila. Area with old wooden two storage houses is worth a visit!
