At our first walk we did a little short cut. But this time we tried to walk exactly the same path as Reidar used to walk by the river side. Beautiful sites were still there though the forest was higher than 30 years ago. It was about - 20 degrees celsius but in the forest it didn't feel that cold. And I had my warmest jacket on and about three layers underneath.
It took us about three hours to get to the Särestöniemi-museum area. We had hot drinks and freshly baked buns at the museum coffee shop. Mummi came to pick us up with car and drove us back home. Great expedition!
